Navigating on ftp.mozilla.org, when I browse directories, I'm noticing a pattern where some directories don't render their contents until I hit refresh. Steps to Reproduce 1. Navigate to ftp://ftp.mozilla.org 2. Select "pub" link Result: Pretty FTP page comes up with column headers titled "Index of ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/" but there are no files or directories listed. 3. Hit the refresh button Result: Full list of directories and files is rendered in window following refresh. If I select the "Firefox" directory here, the /pub/firefox directory will then render without issue. If I then select the "nightly" directory, it renders with the same empty window as described above. On refresh, it will show its contents correctly. This was seen in Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008041704 Minefield/3.0pre.
Can you reproduce similar problems with other FTP clients? This could be caused by a problem with the server or with your connection.
I checked with Firefox 2.0.0.14 and everything was working normally. I browsed through directories as always. I also checked in Camino 1.6, which is based on 1.8.1, and it behaves normally and without issues. I can browse through the directories. I then checked with Cyberduck, an OS X FTP client, no issues there either.
