(( Moved from mozilla/telemetry-dashboard#398 )) There is no "aurora" channel any more, just a Developer Edition reskin of beta. Seeing "aurora" coming out of the aggregator for current channels is... odd. Maybe we should consider rewording the channel name that comes out of the aggregator service? Or maybe the deved and beta populations aren't sufficiently different to keep separate any more? Discuss.
The channel name is what see come in with the actual data, right? So, options: 1) Rename the channel in the aggregator. 2) Rename the channel in the front-end. 3) Merge the DevEdition data into the beta data.
I don't know what the right long-term option is. For the short-term i'm voting for 2) as it has low impact and fixes the user-facing issue.
I prefer 3. The aggregator isn't suited for fine-grained differential analysis between deved and beta, so I think we should have four channels only for historical data.
Depends on: 1340192
Depending on the usage patterns, people may really want to see aurora data (or they might not care), which determines what we do here.
