This is a metabug for implementing the various pieces required to use zstandard compression in the telemetry ingestion and downstream analysis tools. The end result of this work should be that downstream analysis is faster, while object storage costs remain roughly the same. Depending on how tuning and dictionary support work out, these performance improvements could be substantial.
