Jim, I'm assuming this is behaving as you'd expect

Well, there're scenarios A and B. In each scenario you perform Steps 3-4 in the tab from Step 2 STR_A_simplified: 1. Open about:config , set pref "plugins.rewrite_youtube_embeds" to "false" 2. Open "data:" URL in the form above in a new _selected_ tab 3. Press Shift+F7 to open Style Editor > https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/yiq7lmytr1xda4v/bug%201259780%20comment%202%201.webm?dl=0 STR_B_simplified: 1. Open http://dagobah.net/flash/internet_trailer.swf in a new _selected_ tab 2. Press Shift+F7 to open Style Editor 3. If Flash is visible, resize devtools to the up a bit > https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/iqzyuhabat1r723/bug%201259780%20comment%202%202.webm?dl=0 I personally think this is the same breakage as bug 1242273 with simpler(?) STR

I'm not reproducing on win7. Tracy can you try?
Flags: needinfo?(twalker)
I can reproduce on Win7. For both samples in step 2a/b, once I load the Style Editor the Flash plugin disappears (the frame is still visible). Click in Devtools to make the the plugin reappear. tested on: Win 7, Nightly 48.0a1 20160324030447 - Reproduced. Mac, Nightly 48.0a1 20160328030215 - WFM Ubuntu, Nightly 48.0a1 20160325030241 - WFM

We could still take a patch for this in beta, but I think it is reasonable to aim for a fix in 51 nightly. Jim can you help find an owner for this? Do you think it would make a good first bug?
This is marked a p3 from triage, it's not a high priority.

Note, flash 23 should fix this with 49.
Hi arni2033, Would you mind checking again if flash23 fix this?
Flags: needinfo?(arni2033)
No it didn't. Were you just wondering or also interested in testing? You can check my result by testing "testcase 1"
Flags: needinfo?(arni2033) → needinfo?(gchang)
Mark 51 fix-optional as there are no actions for the moment but still happy to take the fix in 51 early beta.
Flags: needinfo?(gchang)
async drawing will address this.
