The number of workers matches the number of concurrent SQL jobs that can run at any given time. Let's increase it to at least 5. See https://github.com/getredash/redash/issues/652.

This appears to be set to 10 by default in /opt/redash/supervisord/supervisord.conf.

I have increased it manually to 10, by default there is only one worker.
