Steps to reproduce:

Don't know, just using FF.


Actual results:

Firefox became unresponsive.
Can't open new tabs.
Can't close blank tab.

Expected results:

Open/Close tabs normally.

After restarting FF it opened with a lot of blank tabs, as I was clicking in new tab button.

Happened again, but there's nothing on Console. Not sure, but today was OK, let's wait to see if was fixed.

Happened again with 38.0a1 (2015-02-01). This bug it's to unusual. There's no crash log.

alexandre,  does this still happen with lastest Nightly builds?  If so  does it happen in safe mode and/or with a new profile?
